Asia Pacific Business Forum 2018
The ESBN Youth & Women Entrepreneurship Taskforce Plenary Session panel with the theme "Impact entrepreneurship: leapfrogging into the innovative future and nurturing AP-based entrepreneurial ecosystems" is scheduled to the 11th April at 11:30AM, In Hong Kong and is part of APBF 2018, an event co-organised by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), The Government of the Hong Kong SAR and Cyberport, the Asia-Pacific Business Forum (APBF) 2018 (10 & 11 April, Cyberport, Hong Kong) aims to harness business engagement to drive sustainable development across Asia-Pacific region. The 2018 Forum will focus on how private sector-led innovation, technology and financing can enhance efforts towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Panelists and presenters that joined this plenary session, provide regional/geographical representation: Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Portugal and the UK.
The transformative power of technology and innovation can support concrete actions towards realizing the aspirations of the SDGs. The private sector is at the core of developing affordable technology and innovation. With its cross-cutting, multi-sectoral and multidisciplinary approaches, technology and innovation are powerful means of implementation of the sustainable development agenda. The Forum will witness the participation of multi-stakeholders, in particular governments, business, civil society and academics from all over the region to foster dialogue and identify innovative solutions to address the challenges and utilize the opportunities for business in realizing and achieving the SDGs.
